I finally saw The Fall Guy. So fun.
(I have a low boredom threshold for many kinds of action sequences. I literally sleep through the explosions. So this film did a great job of keeping me hooked, interested and entertained.)
Thinking about Ryan Gosling’s character and performance also made me remember a film of his from way back that was an unexpected delight. Lars and the Real Girl. I don’t know how it holds up now, but at the time I remember being impressed that he brought nuance and didn’t turn the the role into a comic caricature to laugh at, which never works for me.
