This is the first series to go in my stash twice. I’m currently rewatching it and have spent the weekend wandering around in a daze, thinking about it and muttering about how good it is.
In Googling the writer/director, Steven Conrad, to find out what else he has created it, I came across this quote from him, which I love:
‘The mindset we have more or less when we create a field of characters is to create a world of tension between expectations and a world of connection between needs.’ – Steven Conrad
The show is beautifully crafted and absurd. Darkly human and funny. Stylised and wildly truthful. It’s a lot. In the best possible way.
